Seewines Spirit/ Arkana is among the winners of the 31st annual ceremony “Golden Martenitsa”
With surprise and pride on February 28, 2025, we accepted the “Golden Martenitsa” award in the category “Traditional and Favorite Bulgarian Product”.
The initiative of the association “Made in Bulgaria - Union of Small and Medium Businesses” has been held for 31 years, always on the eve of March 1st and is inspired by the unique Bulgarian tradition “Decorating with Martenitsa” as a wish for well-being and health.
The prize was established by the Association to help revive Bulgarian production and services, and increase their competitiveness in the country and on the international market. The campaign aims to encourage the consumption of Bulgarian products and services, in a context where there is a lack of sustainable support from the state, especially for small and medium-sized businesses.
The 31st Golden Martenitsa Ceremony was attended by President Rumen Radev, Vice President Iliana Yotova and Minister of Economy and Industry Petar Dilov.
The Head of State congratulated the organizers for their efforts to protect domestic production and to protect family, small and medium-sized enterprises, which we must take care of if we want to develop a modern and prosperous country.
This year, the ceremony was held in the Ballroom of the Intercontinental Hotel in Sofia, and the honorary diploma with the logo of the “Choose Bulgarian” campaign and a bronze statuette of a stylized Bulgarian martenitsa on behalf of “Seewines Spirit” was received by the company’s production director, Eng. Denislav Balevski. The prize was presented by the Chairman of the “Made in Bulgaria - Union of Small and Medium-sized Businesses” Association, Kancho Stoychev.
During the elegant ceremony, the significant contribution of Seewines Spirit/ Arkana to the affirmation of the traditional, authentic and natural taste of wines and rakias in our country was noted, considering its young age.
Key moments from the history of the company, which started in December 2014 as the Lesichovo Winery, whose successor is today Seewines Spirit JSC, were noted. The company's active work for the development of organic agriculture in our country was also emphasized. Both the pride of the brand - the pure-variety grape rakia series Arkana, Arkana Masterblend and Arkana Single Barrel, and the natural wine collection Enso, which is gaining increasing popularity beyond the territorial borders of Bulgaria, were presented.
The award ceremony became an occasion to present to other Bulgarian producers and partners the philosophy of Arkana's taste, the fruit of knowledge and dedication to the mysteries of the natural world. Its name, which comes from Old Bulgarian, means “secret”, “magic” and bears the sign of the eternal pursuit of self-improvement.
We are proud to be among this year’s winners of the prestigious award. Over the years, the “Golden Martenitsa” awards have established themselves as an important incentive for Bulgarian enterprises. They not only recognize the successes of companies, but also serve as a motivation for other companies to improve the quality of their products and services. The award emphasizes the importance of local production and encourages consumers to support Bulgarian goods.
